Spotify is shutting down the podcast analytics platform Chartable as part of a broader company re-focus. Acquired in February 2022, Chartable offered tools like “SmartLinks and SmartPromos,” which will be integrated into Megaphone. The New York Times to Launch Audio Subscription on Apple Podcasts & Spotify

The New York Times is launching an audio subscription available for purchase on Apple Podcasts and Spotify next month. Subscribers will gain access to older episodes of popular shows like “The Daily,” “The Ezra Klein Show,” and “Modern Love,” with perks such as early access to new Serial Productions shows. The subscription will cost $6 monthly or $50 annually, aligning with the NYT Audio app price. Current Times subscribers will automatically access the audio content after authenticating their subscriptions.
