Spotify is shutting down the podcast analytics platform Chartable as part of a broader company re-focus. Acquired in February 2022, Chartable offered tools like âSmartLinks and SmartPromos,â which will be integrated into Megaphone. Additionally, similar attribution tools have been introduced for the Spotify app. This move comes after the departure of co-founder Dave Zohrob in July and the integration of Podsights into Spotify Ad Analytics, marking a significant shift in Spotifyâs approach to podcasting. The New York Times to Launch Audio Subscription on Apple Podcasts & Spotify
The New York Times is launching an audio subscription available for purchase on Apple Podcasts and Spotify next month. Subscribers will gain access to older episodes of popular shows like âThe Daily,â âThe Ezra Klein Show,â and âModern Love,â with perks such as early access to new Serial Productions shows. The subscription will cost $6 monthly or $50 annually, aligning with the NYT Audio app price. Current Times subscribers will automatically access the audio content after authenticating their subscriptions.
